Quite an exhausting week it has been. Played frisbee during 2 days, badminton on another day and soccer with the usuals..in total 4 days out of the 5, I played sports. Leg crammed up at the last min during frisbee training on wed. In the end both Nick and I were having a hard time walking arnd..lyk 2 old men. Fri was the day we played soccer and surprised Shaun for the advance birthday celebration. It was a good one as it was unexpected and it was a great time for all of us to do some catching up. Most left home except for Nick n MC, where the 3 of us headed to a coffee shop and the 2 of them ate laksa(crazy guys), which was arnd 11.30pm plus at that time. Sat and rested there for some time, thinking of ways how to get the 2 home. One wanted to wait till my dad comes home at arnd 1am so tt can take a lift, while another wanted to borrow my bike and cycle home. Both weirdos, lol. Anw we headed down to the mrt aft my sense told me there was still train service going on. In the end there was a last train headed to Serangoon when we got there. They took a taxi bck home frm Serangoon thgh. Sat was the day which I experienced smth I had nvr done before. Met Joash n Bryan b4 eating Mac for breakfast. Thanks to the vouchers Bryan brought, each of us had a free burger item in exchange. So in the end we were all bloated up and thght we were going to pass it out some time later(which it didnt fortunately). Had the introduction talk by a officer, whose speech made me drift off for some time. Aft which we headed down to the HDB estates in Outram where we were briefed abt our duty, to renovAID 2 units, one which need some repainting, while the other needed clearing off bedbugs, repainting, and some laundry washing. Split up into 2 grps and went with the tough one. Despite the exterminators getting rid of the bedbugs earlier on, there were still plenty of them arnd. The 3 of us did laundrying, soaking the elderly couple's clothes in hot water, and hanging them up to dry. I was the water boy for the day...incharge of boiling hot water. But switch roles aft lunch and we did painting aft tt. Painting was fun, just the mess that gets on you which is troublesome. Overall, I felt accomplished aft doing all these, despite the lack of our professionalism to do the things well, as compared to Michelle Chia in RenovAID. Hopefully the elderly couple wld enjoy their bedbug free(Really hope theres none left) life to have peaceful sleeps. Its such a joy to see the smile on the face of the uncle when he saw the newly repainted walls althgh they were just plain white paint. Now, I kind of understand the phrase, its a joy to help others. Sun was spent collecting MC's repaired lappy and studying session frm 2-7. Was moody n looked fierce, as wat the other 2 said..which I think was due to the tiredness I felt. The music tt was played at the Starbucks was fine, but aft a long time it gets into you, and the place itself was kind of boring maybe cos of its 'ulu-ness' and the small confined area within the cafe. But I managed to get into the mood later on, which was kind of late since it wld be some time left b4 we had to go. Lyk wat MC said, time management is the key right now, which have been troubling me since way back. Still pondering over the decision to learn German too Labels: The person standing in your way is you yourself - Shrek 11:00 PM
